8 There are big infrastructure companies in Israel, such as Shikun & Binui, involved in renewable energy projects. Located in the Negev desert near the kibbutz of Ashalim, this is Israel’s largest renewable energy project – a 121 MW thermo-solar power plant , a USD 1.1 billion plant, a public- private partnership (PPP), constructed by Negev Energy, a special purpose company held by Shikun & Binui Renewable Energy, Israeli investment fund Noy Fund and Spanish engineering group TSK. The largest photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Israel , set to provide solar energy to approximately 60,000 households, has been granted a permanent license to generate electricity by the Electricity Authority and the Energy Ministry. The license granted to the Shneur Tze’elim plant in the Negev, constructedby Israel’s Shikun&Binui Solel Boneh andGermany’s Belectric , will enable electricity production for commercial purposes for 20 years. A year ago, the Israeli Ministries of Energy and Defense said the country would establish hundreds of wind turbines in the north, at a cost of NIS 250 million, and this was part of the important milestone to attaining the 2030 targets set. Genesis Wind is designed to be Israel’s biggest wind farm, with 42 turbines generating 189 MW at a site not far from the Syrian border. Highlighting the activity in this market, Noy adds: “At EBN, we represent EDF Energies Nouvelles Israel Ltd., the biggest player in the renewable market in Israel, in the process of the development of their wind farms – from the greenfield stage until their operation; Augwind Energy Tech Storage Ltd., one of the fastest growing start-ups in Israel which develops groundbreaking technology of compressed air storage systems for solar and wind farms - as opposed to the traditional battery storage technology; as well as Aveeram Wind, which develops, constructs and operates high scale wind projects in Israel and UK.” arbitrators and find someone with expertise to fit the dispute in question.” Israel will also establish hundreds of wind turbines in the north
